Despite the challenges in the automotive sector, the ILF Magdeburg's investment in the next walk-in corrosion test chamber shows that it will continue the focus on innovation and quality.
With this test chamber, the ILF is adding its range of corrosion tests for large assembly parts and components from the fields of automotive e-mobility, energy storage systems, photovoltaic modules and many more, and is once again expanding test capacities for its customers. As the majority of components have to be tested in the installation position, i.e. often horizontally and not at a 70° angle as was previously the case, testing can only be carried out in larger chambers.
At the iLF Magdeburg, walk-in test chambers are available to customers for the following test methods:
• DIN EN ISO 11997-1 / PV 1210 / PV 1209 (approved VW AG test laboratory) with approx. 6m³
• DIN EN ISO 11997-3 (approved test laboratory of Mercedes Benz AG) with approx. 6m³ and
• VW 96380 (approved test laboratory of Porsche AG) with 10m³
In addition, testing facilities are available in test chambers with volumes of approx. 1000 litres and climatic chambers up to 1500 litres.
Successful participation in numerous round robin tests guarantees the customer a high level of expertise and quality assurance. The results can be viewed at any time at https://ilf-magdeburg.de/en/accreditation/.
The team of ILF Magdeburg is particularly proud of the fact that customer service in form of quick responses and reliability has been guaranteed for many years. And this despite growing test capacities and increasing test requirements.
