From 1 April 2024, Dr.-Ing. Susanne Bender will take over the management of iLF Magdeburg GmbH. She follows Dr. Ulrich Westerwelle, who is retiring. The company is a DIN EN ISO 17025 accredited test service provider and certified by many OEMS for material testing, environmental simulation and surface characterisation.
In recent years, iLF Magdeburg has mainly done business with industry in Germany and Europe, but is now also active worldwide. In particular, the iLF has become an important business partner for automotive manufacturers and their suppliers, the railway industry, companies in the paint and colour industry and many other industries.
Dr.-Ing. Susanne Bender studied mechanical engineering, specialising in materials science at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and completed her PhD in 2010 under PD Dr.-Ing. habil. J. Göllner in the field of magnesium corrosion. After working as a research assistant in the "Corrosion and Corrosion Protection" working group under Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. A. Heyn at the University of Magdeburg, she moved to the iLF Magdeburg in 2011.
Dr.-Ing. Bender adds: "I am really pleased about this new challenge. My aim is to offer our customers and partners the best possible testing service. To do this, we need excellent testing technology, the latest knowledge of current testing requirements and our motivated employees. I look forward to working with a great team!"
