Accreditation to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 is a key indicator of quality for testing laboratories and sends a clear signal to customers in industry and development that testing is carried out to the highest standards. ILF Magdeburg GmbH builds on this foundation and is delighted to have once again successfully completed its periodic re-accreditation by DAkkS without any critical non-conformities across all specialist areas. The company has thus once again confirmed its reliability, technical expertise and the high quality of its testing services.
But standing still is not an option. Through continuous investment in modern testing technology, ILF Magdeburg GmbH is systematically expanding its service portfolio. In 2026, a state-of-the-art testing apparatus for conducting cyclic corrosion tests with an automatic spraying function was commissioned. With a test volume of 1,100 litres, the system enables the testing of even larger components under realistic conditions.
The combination of varying climatic stresses (humidity, temperature cycling, salt exposure and controlled spraying) enables a realistic simulation of typical corrosion mechanisms, particularly under-coating processes on paint and coating systems, as well as at cut and edge areas. The main advantage of the system lies in its ability to replicate complex damage mechanisms in accordance with standards, whilst ensuring a high degree of reproducibility of test conditions. This significantly enhances the reliability of assessments regarding corrosion protection systems, pre-treatment processes and coating quality.
With this expansion, tests that previously relied on separate procedures (e.g. manual exposure in combination with climatic tests) can now be carried out in a single test apparatus in accordance with standards:
-DIN EN ISO 16701
-Ford CETP: 00.00-L-467
-GMW 14872

ILF Magdeburg GmbH thus positions itself as a high-performing and forward-looking partner for complex testing tasks in industry.
