VILF goes ILF

As part of the regional group meeting of the VILF’s Eastern Group, ILF Magdeburg GmbH opened its doors in Magdeburg, offering a total of 26 participants fascinating insights into the institute’s work.

A short introductory talk was followed by a two-part guided tour of the laboratories and the technical centre. This provided a rare opportunity to get a close-up look at testing methods for materials testing and surface characterisation. A wide range of topics was covered, from stone impact tests and weathering facilities to walk-in climate chambers and microscopy.

Following the guided tour, two specialist presentations took place. Mr Müller from SAVAYU GmbH spoke on behalf of Mr Ruhland (Geo Reinigungstechnik GmbH), who was unable to attend due to illness, on the topic of “Industrial cleaning technology: vacuum suction blasting”. The event concluded with a presentation by Dr Moch (Panadur GmbH) on the topic of “2K and 3K polyurea – environmentally friendly systems for RIM applications”. The interesting afternoon and evening were rounded off with a convivial get-together over dinner.
